Who is the ACTS program for?

ACTS is for committed members of the Churches of Christ in Australia - men and women - who desire to step up in their personal life of faith and their service to their local congregation.  While we have organised term dates to suit university students and early-career workers, the only restriction on age is that participants must be adults.

When will the online classes be held?

Online classes for ACTS 2026 will be held via Zoom on Tuesday evenings.  The exact timeslot will be negotiated term-by-term to suit both students and teachers with respect to time zones and daylight savings. If you are interested in signing up for ACTS but Tuesdays are unsuitable for you, please still complete the registration and note "I am not able to attend classes on Tuesdays."  at the bottom of the form.  This will help us adapt future years' offerings to suit all applicants.

3

What if I can't attend every class?

One of the aims of the ACTS program is to build stronger relationships between the students.  As such, we will be prioritising applicants who can commit to attending the majority of classes live, as well as the intensives in June and December.  However, we recognise that perfect attendance across a year is unlikely due to sickness or other commitments. As such, the online classes will be recorded and available for a short time in order to catch up on missed material.  We encourage you to contact the course director if you have questions about your specific circumstances.

How much does the ACTS program cost?

Participation in the ACTS program costs $500 for the whole year.  This fee includes the course delivery, and your accommodation and meals for the in-person intensives in June and December.  There will also be some assistance available to contribute towards travel to the intensives.  We strongly encourage students to ask their local congregations to fully or partially cover their fee as an investment in the spiritual growth of their members.  If the congregation would like to know more about ACTS before contributing, please encourage them to contact one of the team members.  If financial considerations are a hurdle to you joining the program, please contact the course director to discuss options.

Applications are now open, and will close December 14.

Please register online, and contact us if you have any further questions.
