Meet the Team

Meet the Teachers

The ACTS program is the initiative of brethren from a few congregations in Australia. In 2024, Peter Tickner (Macquarie, Sydney) and Benny Tabalujan (Belmore Road, Melbourne) got together and shared ideas about the continued education of members of the church. Since that time several more brethren have joined the ACTS team; these include Steve Wilson (The Point church, QLD), Graham Wall (Border church, NSW), Andrew Young (Gipps Street, QLD) and Daniel Smith (Gipps Street) have joined the program.

Peter Tickner Director

Peter is an elder preaching for the Macquarie congregation in Sydney. He has over 25 years experience as an evangelist and teacher. He is also experienced in interstate Bible Lectureships and Bible Camp ministry. Peter is the Director of ACTS Program.

Graham Wall Biblical Studies Instructor

Graham is currently an itinerate teacher and evangelist who serves congregations throughout Australia. He has over 16 years of experience. He preaches at the Border congregation Albury, NSW.

Benny Tabalujan Biblical Studies Instructor

Benny is based in Singapore and was previously an elder serving at Belmore Road Church of Christ in Melbourne, Australia. He has worked in law firms, academia, and consulting in Australia, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Benny gained a PhD in law from the University of Melbourne and he later obtained a Graduate Diploma of Divinity (Australian College of Theology) and a Master of Theology (University of Glasgow).

Steve Wilson Biblical Studies Instructor

Steve Wilson is a former elder for The Point Church of Christ which meets in Redlands City, Brisbane, Queensland. He has worked in church ministry, education, and community services for more than 35 years. Stephen holds qualifications in education (BA, GradDipEd), community services (MCouns), religion and biblical studies (MRS, MA), and theology (MTh).

Andrew Young Biblical Studies Instructor

Andrew Young is a graduate of the Southeast Institute of Biblical Studies in Knoxville, Tennessee. He graduated in 2023 with a bachelor of Biblical studies and was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Award for academic excellence. He now serves as one of the full-time ministers at the Gipps Street church of Christ in Toowoomba, Queensland.

Daniel Smith Biblical Studies Instructor

Daniel Smith currently works full time for the Gipps St Church of Christ in Toowoomba, QLD. Prior to working in ministry, he trained in Bible and Microbiology. He and his wife Hannah have two boys. They are passionate about proclaiming the good news of King Jesus in Australia.
